A classic unisex turtleneck collar, for those who (like me) hate to get messy hair from wearing a scarf, but still wants to keep the neck warm. I’ve knitted several for my dad, who wears it skiing, my husband who works in a cold workshop and my friends who use them under their winter coats. You start from the bottom, and create the neckline and the opening, and then knit up stitches to create the turtleneck. Pretty simple, but it works!
Yarn: 2 strands ‘Snefnug’ from Camarose (shown in the color: ‘grey beige 7315’) held together.
Gauge: 16 stitches x 19 rounds = 10 cm x 10 cm, in rib (k1, p1)
Needles: 8 mm (round needle 80 cm and 40 cm)
Sizes: onesize
Yarn total: 3 skeins ‘Snefnug’ from Camarose
Yarn alternative: if you want a thicker collar, you can use ‘Pus’, from Du Store Alpakka, or ‘Angel’ from Permin
The pattern is digital, and will be send as a pdf-file to your e-mail address.
Happy knitting!
