DEIMA’S V-CARDI
This new style is a well fitted cardigan, with v-neck and sewn-on hooks as eyes. This cardigan is extremely versatile in its simplicity, and with a simple change of yarn quality you can create everything from a glittery party style to a cozy winter cardigan. The pattern recommends two qualities that we've tested - a glitter yarn quality and a luxury silk yarn, both good options for the summer season or if you want a cardigan for more fancy use. However, it can also easily be knitted in wool/mohair or perhaps bouclé yarn, depending on what you're looking for.
This cardigan is knitted from the top down, starting from the neckline on the back. From here you knit down to the armhole, and then you pick up stitches on each side of the back piece and create the front pieces of the cardigan. The v-cut is formed on the front pieces and finally the body of the cardigan is knit together.
Stitches are picked up on along the arm opening, and the sleeve is created with short rows and finished with a simple i-cord like the remaining edges of the cardigan.
Yarn: 2 strands Lurex from Lammy yarns (shown in color 01) or 1 strand Luxury Silk from Laines du nord (shown in color 14)
Gauge: 18 sts x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch
Recommended needles: circular needle 5,5 mm (80 cm)

To move away from the classic S, M, L sizes, the sizes in this pattern are called 1, 2, 3 & 4. The size scale follows more or less the classic, 36 (38) 40 (42) EU size scale, so there’s nothing advanced about it.
